Priligy contains dapoxetine, a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

Dapoxetine works by increasing serotonin levels in the nervous system. Higher serotonin activity helps delay the signals in the brain that trigger ejaculation, improving control and increasing the time before climax.

Priligy is designed for use before planned sexual activity. It is not a cure for premature ejaculation, but it can help improve control while the medication is active.

Sexual stimulation is still required for it to work.

Priligy should be taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity.

Priligy is available in 30mg and 60mg strengths. Treatment is usually started at 30mg, with the dose adjusted if necessary based on response and tolerability.

Avoid excessive alcohol while taking Priligy, as this may increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness or fainting.

Priligy is supplied in packs of 3, 6 or 12 tablets.
