How to take Finasteride
Finasteride is available in 1mg doses to be taken each day in tablet form.
One tablet should be taken each day with a glass of water, either before or after meals. Do not crush the tablet before swallowing. If a dosage is missed, do not take two tablets the following day. Missing a tablet will not affect the results.
Remember that hair growth is a slow process and you will not see instant results when taking this form of treatment. It can take between three and six months for results to be seen. Some people may only see a visible difference in hair growth after 12 months.
Finasteride should be taken continuously for as long as you want to prevent hair loss. If you stop taking the medication, you will likely start to experience hair loss once more.
